2002 - 2003 and up chassis difference??

Just curious but what is different on the 02's that allows the extra height?
From what I have read, the same lift on an 02 ends up higher than on an 03.

The springs are actually different on an 02 vs an 03. Jeep lowered the KJ an inch after 02 due to safety concerns (people couldnt figure out it wasnt a Maserati). However, with the Frankenlift, an 02 with ride the same height as an 05, since the springs are replaced. I'm not sure if this is the case with the spacer lifts as well or not.

yeah, its all to do with the Springs mate, not the chassis.
