Dear all who are working on bumpers for 05+ KJ's.

I just hit a deer this morning, thankfully I was not driving the CRD, the car I was driving has now hit three deer, 2 by me 1 by my wife. It had a dented fender a busted headlight the first time, bent up hood, scratches across the roof second time, and now it has a twice dented fender another busted marker light, no passenger side mirror scratches on passenger side, and deer poop in the door handle.

I DONT WANT THIS TO HAPPEN TO THE JEEP

So whoever makes the bumper that will best protect the front of our CRD from those pretty little deer that like to trash my vehicles, is the one that will get my money. (when I get it)

I have never been deer hunting...I think its time to start.

Sorry to laugh but that is just about the funniest darn thing about the whole mess. Sorry for your bad luck with deer. I would definately start hunting them.

Last was one that I hit was about 3 in the morning, I was eating the tenderlions for breakfast, showed him! I think it took a week to wash off all the sh ** off the truck though. Of course the bumper, grill was trashed, but it sure tasted good. BAD PART, I had just taken a week off to deer hunt and never got a shot off! This was after the last day on the way home!

I have about 15 in my pasture if you would like to come get them!!!!

I have never hit a deer.............but I have had two run into me. That sucks!

About 10 years ago we had an incident where a fellow was driving home from work one evening in a small car on a fairly crowded highway. A pickup traveling toward him hit a deer and it flew ahead into the other guys windshield and through it. Killed him instantly.

Back to the subject, I want a front deer filter on my CRD too.

I'm so glad we dont have that many deer in AZ (the only ones that could really do some damage are up north). However, some friends of ours hit a cow in their F-150 while they were leaving the lake one night. The truck actually fared pretty well considering (it got repaired). But anyways, I thought that ARB was working on a brush guard for the newer front ends.

Well, as far as a deer proof bumper, that is like saying you want a bullet proof vest or rain proof tent... They will all be more resistant, but noe are "proof" For this purpose, I would have to say the ARB would be best as it sticks out the furthest, but If you want one of the others with the closer steeper approach angles, they may help you, but you will still most likely get a cracked grill at least... all depends on speed and size of animal.

I have the ARB, have been in 2 accidents with it, the only thing that happened to my Jeep at all was a few scratches on the bumpers paint. If you want a picture of the first accident (damage to a Fifth Avenue car) e-mail me at wasatch15@aol.com

I suppose I could, remember this car (it wasnt the KJ) has hit 3 different deer, no bodywork has been done to it. I have replaced the headlight and beat the hood till it would latch, and fixed the vacuum line for the brake booster due to hitting deer. Now I will have to remove/beat the fender so the passengers side door will open, but nothing has been "fixed", so it is not pretty  I will see if I can get some tonight or tomorrow evening.

Well if you want to start hunting deer the best weapon is a vehicle at night with the headlights on or find some high tech bullets that have headlights and only go 65MPH,that'll get'm good  .
