I'm currently looking around for a set of Moabs but was wondering what affect switching rims would have on the tire pressure sensor. I have an '05 but don't have the overhead thing, just the light that comes on in the dash.

Where are the sensors located on the rims/tires?

Can they be switched over to the Moabs or do Moabs have them as well?

If not what would I need to do to keep the light off for good?

Thanks

So could the stems then just be taken off the rims I have now and put onto the Moabs?

ask jeepjeepster , he had the sensor on his OEM and he might have moved them into carragars when he got them, but I am not sure. I am just guessing he wouldn't want to lose the functionality.

They should work with any wheels that aren't steel. Steel wheels may block the RF signal from the sensors.

Thanks for the responses. It sounds like I can just switch my stems to the new rims.

Anyone who has Moabs actually do this, or have any insight?
