Post subject:  Leak Side Rear Windows?

I have a 2005 Liberty CRD with 22,000 miles.

I have a leak that appears to be coming from the top of the rear side windows.

I took it by the dealer during a heavy rain and showed it to them.

They said take it to the glass shop later that week. I did and they aimed a hose at the window and of course it did not leak!

Has anyone had a leak and what recourse/action did you take to get this issue solved?

Thanks

I have a leak in my front door everytime it rains I have a puddle on my front floor mat..
I can not seem to isolate my leak, so when it ever rains again...I guess i have to sit in my kj and see where it comes from. My father in law says that it looks like it make leaking from the hinge area but until it rains we wont know. He works for the jeep dealership so will see...

I have a leak in the rear of my 2005. The dealer tryed to reseal my roofrack bolts but i still have some water in rear. Never even thought about the rear windows. They are fixemounted and require a special sealant. There must be some air bubbles in the sealant that have caused a void alowing the water leak.

Bav,

I have witnesses the water coming from the top center of the side windows!.

What is even more aggravating is that the glass shop took a garden hose and stood there trying to simulate the leak.

The rains we had here in NC over the weekend were heavy and I think that is what it is going to take.

I thought the roof rack was the problem too. The fellow at the shop said taking the head liner out was the next step.

Looks like I need to get the liner pulled and pressure wash the crap out of the roof and side panels!

Thank you for your reply.

Tom
