SFA kit for an IFS Toyota runs about $1500, plus you have to buy an axle & driveshaft.
a long arm XJ kit runs about $1,400 - $1,600

TRICK

Keep the kit around $1,500 or as close as posibile

find XJ axle at u-pull-it for around $250 - $300

buy custom driveshaft for around $200

Total = $2,000 give or take. For a front kit and rear lift to match maybe around $2,000 + axle & shaft = $2,500 plus.
still cheaper than RK 7".

Building the mounting brakets is the hard part that no one wants to do.
Of course we would have to do all the cutting, drilling, welding, and bolting.
Then again, most of us would want to wait for our warrantys to run out first. some peoples already have.

I would not go and buy anything just yet. I say wait until the kit is announced with a release date a specifications to make sure it is the right one for you. Well, that is what I am doing anyway.

If you HAVE to go get something make sure it is 'High Pinion"!

Later,
J

An XJ D30 High Pinion '94-'96 would be the best bet. You would still have to find a way to adapt an XJ long arm kit to fit the KJ uniframe (not fun). And how to mount a steering box to the uniframe and steering shaft (even less fun). The spring mounts I saw on one of the sfa'd KJ's look like they wouldn't be to hard to make. They bolted to the stock upper strut holes and had a brace coming down the frame and bolting on there too. The upper shock mount was part of the spring mount. From looking at the 2 or 3 differant ones I have seen, the hardest part would be the steering. I'm no designer but it just doesn't look that hard. Just have to get the measerments right.

How does the RK rear susp hold up ? Any problems with that part of the lift ?
