I have found out that the TracTech and Trailready Libertys had there front axles done by S&N Fab (www.sn-fab.com) in Washington. As it turns out it looks like they have done a few of then now.

Isn't S&N Fab the company who bought the build instructions on the SFA lift that's in the red TrailReady Liberty ? How much lift did they achieve ?

If you have to ask, you can't afford it.

You guys are such teasers. What do you have to do to get in the inner circle that knows all the details on this? And as far as affording it, I'll take a second job for it if I have too.

Man, I can't wait. Just something a little less extreme than that KJ. Looks like too much a show truck to me. Just about 4-5 inches w/ 33's and 4.56s then I'll be happy.

That is the plan. BTW, if using the 8.25 in the build you can only get a 4.56 gear in it. I believe the idea w/ the new kit is to allow you to use the factory rear 8.25 which will save some money. You can upgrade to other diffs as money allows though.

I have the magazine (4x4 Builder) that covered the TracTech Liberty. Tractech said they didn't know were to start a build like that so they paid S&N Fab to build it for them. I beleive the full build cost around $20K, but that is with full custom everything, and trial & error. I have seen a differant one with a much simpler setup. (stock rear axle with a new upper mount and lower arms, stock XJ front axle, steering,& springs useing some trick spring perches). I don't know who built it, but it looks good, it was a little lower than Tractechs, it looks like about 4-6 inches, Tractechs is about 8-9 inches (those are 35x13.5 tires !!).

Wow, thats great. But the STUPID fender flares are still there, waiting to get torn off during a good stuff.

Those plastic flares gotta go; i wish somoene would come out with replacements.

You never know who might be working on that...How do you think a flat fendered KJ would look. Later...Clint

I'm definitely on the SFA list and agree strongly the plastic fender flares must go.
My vote is to rid all KJ's of all plastic. Does it matter if the KJ weights as much as
the titanic? Maybe...maybe not.

MOre of a sport cage than a roll cage. No triangulation and it bolts together. I'm pretty sure S&N made it also.
