i jsut put on my ARB and winch combo, and it has made my frontend much lower. and my springs much softer due to the extra weight, i would add another spacer but it will just compress the spring more which is too much as it is, right? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! |

Need to know more than that? Stocks springs? Lift? Year? If stock.. I would go with the OME HD springs to hold the ARB up.. Could add a spacer to the rear to level it back up. Not to sure how much lift you will get out of the OME hd springs with the ARB on the jeep.

Yea change those stock springies out.... If you have a puddle of water under your car, it's your springs crying. You have a Hippo sitting on your bumper, you need some HD to compensate. |

Yep...the front struts need to be redone completely...including a much stiffer strut insert You might want to think about adding your signature with your mods included...makes everything easier |

IF you can get your hands on it, a stock CRD spring and a Daystar spacer would be your best bet. |

the frontend already has a billet aluminum spacer, is there any way i can use that for the CRD springs, or are there any better alternatives to CRD springs? |

The CRD springs are almost solid metal. They're monsters. They'll hold that heft up better than anything out there. But they're not going to be easy to come by. There are no stiffer/stronger front springs on the market for the KJ, so I don't know of anyone that has swapped them out. I'm sure not going to. I think the only place you're going to get these is straight from Jeep....or maybe a junk yard. Someone has to have wrecked a CRD by now. If you do get some, make sure you get the skinny-armed spring compressor. The regular one that stores "rent" doesn't fit in between the coils because the metal's so dang think. Richard, Mike and I wasted a lot of fuel driving around town to find the right compressor when we put mine on! I don't see why the billet spacer wouldn't work. I am running OME heavy duties with Rancho struts with the ARB hanging out there. Holds it up and rides fantastic. |

Get the CRD springs from the dealer and a set of Rancho struts. That's what I had to finally go with for my ARB bumper and E-9000 winch, 2.125" RRO Combo and 1/2" clevis on 32" TrXus M/T's. The OME H.D. springs don't support the CRD Libbies with out sagging, so they're not going to support the ARB & winch without sagging. |

I am planning on getting the rock lizzard bumper soon and was wondering what your guy's opinion would be for my situation.I am running rustys front coils with rusty's strut plate and I get some sag even with the stock bumper but these are pretty old.I f I go with the crd coils would you suggest me just adding an extra isolator to make up the differance from the rusty's height to stock crd height?I can get the crd coils for cost since I work at a jeep dealer so that would be really nice if that would be a good choice. |

I know they are crazy expensive, but synthetic winch line is alot lighter than the standard metal line. |

I saw a discussion on this not too long ago, as far as the OME HD's go that is. It was said that the HD's will hold up fine to a stock CRD, its when you go adding a bullbar and winch that you run into problems. I will try to search up the thread, people actually measured the CRD spring rate and found info on the OME HD, and they were very close to the same. A gasser KJ is lighter than the CRD so the OME HD should be ok when you add the bullbar and winch. Maybe someone else with some experience can chime in as well. |
