What isthe biggest tire you can put on the spare tire holder? Will 245/75/16s fit and will the glass flip up? Thanks Jonathan |

Yes that size tire will fit, my dealer originally had a 265/75/16 tire on my spare but the class would not open properly so they downgraded to a 255/70/16 that lets the glass open just fine... |

Someone on here made a mod piece, an extender, to allow the 265 tire fit and open the glass. |

If you don't want to create your own spacer, I believe Quadratec carries one. |

You can also turn over the tire mount and a 265/75/16 will fit...it will make it angle out just a bit but looks fine |

A new 245/75/16 MTR comes this close to the window with the tire holder in the original position. (the wheels are stock KJ wheels) ![]() |

My rear glass opened with my 265/75R16's,the rims have 4.50" BS so factory rims the glass my not open. |

yes that is a good point tjkj, the rims might also have something to do with whether the glass will open properly or not...the dealer had tried it with the stock rims and the glass not open, but perhaps with different backspaced rims the 265/75 might fit better |
