Ok, so I've searched, read, and reread the posts about this, but I just want to clarify those muddled posts. It seemes to me, that if I go w/ the Rusty's Spacer Lift and extended bumpstops from Skyjacker, that setup will significantly lower my chances of problems? I stopped at the dealer today, and was told that as long as its not a crazy lift, they have no problems servicing it and will do so under warranty. My wheeling consists mostly of mudding and trail riding, not much flexing on hills and rocks...therefore I (hesitantly) believe that I wont have problems w/ my struts blowing. Does this seem to work? (oh, and lets keep this strictly about the Rusty's or an OTT spacer.) Thanks everyone! |

Save your self some dough and heartache and just do a clevis lift + Rusty's top plate up front and a spacer in the rear. Anyone see any problems with this? |

The only thing I would add to this is the front bump stops. |

After all that, is it really that much cheaper than a Rusty's Coil Lift? Plus, you get more height. |

I think that is basically what the RockyRoad combo lift is, Daystar lift (1.5 front, 2.0 in back) + strut spacer block. I have this lift on my CRD, and really like it. My CV angles are almost flat, maybe a slightly angled down, I have 245/75 R16s not the biggest, but gave the CRD a more aggresive look. The suspension is a bit firmer than stock which I see as an advantage. Corners better than stock. CRD still a little racked, but is very level when I tow. |

That'll make you lean more forward than the KJ already is leaning. |

think a clevis could level it out? |

Yes, clevis lift could help, I don't have any washers on mine, but they are adjusted to the very bottom of the strut. I could adjust that abit and get the front up a little, but I like the fact that the CV's are almost level at the new ride height. Another easy solution that I'm considering is to either leave the stock spacer in the back in, just put new spring spacer on top, or take it out. Its about 1/2 inch tall, I left it in. If removed it, I believe my CRD would be dead level, but might be nose high when I tow. |

I've had this lift (KJ09123) on for about two weeks. I don't think it looks odd. Half-inch difference between front and rear is noticeable, but barely. (Angled driveway in picture doesn't help matters.) It's still higher than stock, which is all I care about. Nice, level CV angle gives me peace of mind. No UBJ contact. Front tires no longer rub inside wheel well at full lock. My KJ turns tighter than before but doesn't feel stiff. I'm very happy with the lift. ![]() ![]() |

When I installed my 2.5 spacer lift I left the isolater pad in the rear in which gave me another half inch in the back. I also like the stock racked look. That extra half inch in the front from a clevis would help with clearance but I have not yet done any off roading. |

I'm thinking of doing the clevis trick whenever I replace my struts. I have 45K miles on my OEM ones, and with the lift I don't expect them to withstand more than a couple trips offroad before topping out. For now, however, I'm in no rush, especially after paying Midas $75 to perform my post-lift retorquing of all my suspension bolts. Next time, I'll just buy a floor jack and stands and do the tightening myself! Pep Boys sells a 3-tone SUV jack/stands package for around $85. Looks pretty sturdy. |
