Ok, just out of curiosity, does anyone else have a lot of noise coming from the front suspension after they Frankenlifted it? It is between a bumping sound and a thunk. It seems to be worse on road than off, especially at speed. Should I be concerned? |

I noticed you have a '02 KJ,mine makes all sort of noises to,basically like the front end is going to fall out.Check the rubber bushing on the lower control arm for the lower clevis bolt, mine is worn pretty bad and the clevis is hitting the metal housing causing all my noise.Might be worth ckecking out. |

Sorry to hear about that! I hope your issues with your Frankelift are not as severe as mine were. Editted: I was being a bit of a jerk in my original post as I was a bit frustrated by being attacked by everyone after saying that the frankenlift was not very well engineered. |

That's the sound of you buying new upper control arms. ![]() He has the old style bumpstop.. He shouldnt be getting any upper balljoint contact.. ![]() |

Editted: I was being a bit of a jerk in my original post as I was a bit frustrated by being attacked by everyone after saying that the frankenlift was not very well engineered. After buying Miah's Frankenlift, I would say that the testing of the engineering was lacking. They should have caught that the UBJ would knock. At least it was an easy fix (too bad I had to engineer my own fix, but it has worked well). I like the lift, however, don't get me started on customer service. Based on my experience, I don't think they plan on working with "non-original" owners, which is going to hurt the resale value of the Frankenlift some. Sorry for the hijack. As for the main topic of this thread - No odd noises, just squeaks that Eddo told me to fix with silicone spray (and I haven't gotten to yet); however, I did mount rubber bump stops on the side of the pick for the A-arm to hit (rather than UBJ and spring contact ![]() |

Why did Miah sell the frankenlift? I'm not moose, but I believe he parted out his KJ and returned it back to stock before he sold it. I guess he didn't want to sell it lifted and w/ all the goodies he had on it. It was definitly a sweet rig if you have seen pics of it. |

He sold ALL of the goodies he had added and is going to be selling (or has sold, I'm not sure) his KJ. As for why, PM him if you like, all I'll say it is he wanted a change and I hope all works out well for him. As for the lift, I'm sure it helped that I had Eddo help install it. He's done several Rusty's & Frankenlifts, so it went fast and smooth. |

My Frankenlift squeaks all the time. I need to spray it with silicone every week. Thats not as big a deal as the clunking sound that comes from both the front and the back when i go over even a speed bump! A $1,000?!?!? I cant believe there are not more people with the clunking sound problem. |

I cant believe there are not more people with the clunking sound problem. I don't have any problems with speed bumps (unless i take them faster than 35 or 40 ![]() BTW - am I the only one who can't get AllJ to respond to me? I'm trying to figure out if it's because I bought the thing off Miah or what? |
