After completing a trail this weekend I re-measured my rear height (rim to guard ) and discovered a loss of 10mm. I have done 20 000kms on my OME 's and plenty of off road outings over this period. However on this trip I did a section that tested the suspension to the max resulting in major rubbing on the inside rear wheel wells as well as popping both wheel arches off . Is it possible that the suspension has just settled further after extreme articulation or should I be concerned about other issues? Vehicle is riding fine , stable and no knocks etc from the suspension. Any advise !

I think when you factor in everything you mentioned, and factor in all other variables such as temperature, contents of your libby, the way the moons are aligned.... I think 10mm can be considered negligible.

not sure what you are measuring but you will need to pick a point that has not been rubbed any
I would go rim to maby window?
what diff. do you feel this loss in hight will hurt?
I can tell you that for some reason my TJ seems to vary about 3/4" (I think thats about 15mm) some time high some times low why I do not know
I do know that it keeps on working so I dont bother with it

I hear you , just was'nt sure if this was normal as it has not altered in height for the last
20 000kms . Sounds like its normal then.

Exactly, I don't think 10mm is significant. The difference between a full tank and empty tank of fuel is probably around 10mm.

Air temp, tire temp, tire pressure, tire wear, using exact same location where you parked when you measured before, possible changes in equipment inside vehicle, etc.... can affect readings. Oh and the cow jumping over the moon has serious affects (if you know that American nursery rhyme).

if we are going to get all high tech on this one then we will need to account for the change in the negative pull from the earth core when the rings of saturn are at 90* to the sun and the moon is pushing back at exactly .9375% of the negative pull of Mars

when this happen not only will you rig change ride hight but it can gain as much as 20 extra HP at the wheels
