This past Saturday we (April and I) met up with Richard (Uvalax236) in his new yellow Rubicon and some of his new friends. Had a good time as the only KJ there. Mostly Rubicons, a few Wranglers, one Cherokee and one 07 4-dr Rubicon. We split into two groups depending on rig ability. We did OK until a good set of off-road tires were really needed. The Revos let me down twice. It was a bit muddy but really slick on the clay and the tires just wouldn't bite. Another time I got stuck on a rock, a big one. Oh well, still had fun and I heard of a few that were impressed by the KJs ability. Next time I get tires, there going to be more aggressive.

BTW: We were the leader for our group. Imagine that, a Liberty leading Wranglers and Rubicons. :-)r :-)r :-)r :-)r :-)r :-)r :-)r

Uwharie is fun isn't it?

Looks like the trench has gotten deeper since I was there last... The meet spot still looks the same though. Glad you had fun! How did the 07 rubicon 4 dr do?

I was trying to brush up on my knowlage of KJ abilites! Anyway, it was a fun trip. The trench was not purpously dug out that way. It gets filled in and un-used from December to April. The continuous use of people and erosion makes the trench HUGE. There were Rubi's on 33's that were completely covered by sections of the trench. That will give you an idea of how big it truly is.

Its closed or closing this weekend until April. I think that the closest places to wheel after Uwharri is GWNF and Tellico.

Nope, I haven't made a run with the LOST group yet. Well, made a couple runs on the pavement, but that's about it. Next year, I promise (and by that I mean that Kristen promised  ). GWNF is my first target in this area. That place looks fun!
