If you didnt have to use a spring compressor on the the front springs, I would say a 4-5.. But that can get alittle tricky..

As the title says for a 2.5" Daystar spacer lift, 1 - 10? I would be working with my Dad who has some experience, of course, but I don't. |

If you go to a shop to have the front spacers installed I'd give it a 4. A little less fun and more difficult if you run the spring compressor. Either way make sure the bumpstop is in the right spot and it's not a real difficult job. |

Agreed. Strut compressors suck! We put my kit on in 5 hours, and most of that time was spent compressing and then reassembling the struts. Having done it once, with a few minutes of prep time for sorting out sockets, laying out parts, etc., I feel like I could probably install a Daystar lift with a friend in 3 to 3-1/2 hours. I'd say 5 on a scale of 1-10. If you have a shop with hydraulic strut compressor insert the spacer for you ($80 at Pep Boys), I score the install as a 2.5. |

I would say it is a 3 on the scale. You will be surprised at how easy it will be if you can find a shop to do the spring compression work for you. The front coilover comes out as one piece and the rear takes longer to get the rig jacked up on stands in a safe manor than it does to pull the coils. Personally, I would never install a spacer lift though... just my opinion for whatever that is worth

Donnie, if you haven't already purchased the kit, compare the higher dollar Daystar spacer lifts which could reach in the low $300s with, let's say, a Rusty's suspension lift at $465. In addition to new, taller coils, Rusty's also includes new struts and shocks. I think it may be a better bang for your buck. |

Whichever version you get, I highly recommend changing out the stock shocks and struts. You'll get a much better ride. |

That does seem like a better option. I was going with the spacer lift because I was figuring I would be able to install it myself, guess not haha. Thanks guys. |

Does the Rusty's kit come with the struts assembled? If so, you make an excellent point! Removing and installing the struts with the springs already on them isn't hard work. Swapping out shocks is even easier. |

No, the struts are not assembled but don't be scared even though that front suspension looks awefully complicated. It is only about 8 bolts/nust to remove from each side. You just need to make sure that you have the proper tools for the job and you don't need a special tool for the upper ball joint. Just put a jack under the a-arm, get it to the right angle and grab a big hammer 
It took two of us about 2 hours to do mine with air tools, on jack stands, with a spring compressor. It was actually WAY easier than I thought it would be. |
