Post subject:  KJ Service Manual (on CD)

I am interested in getting the Service Manual (CD) for a 2006 KJ. My question is, does this CD include all the wiring diagrams? I notice that there is a seperate printed manual for just the wiring information. Do I need to purchase both?

I would appreciate info on this from people using the CD format service manual.

ther CD Manuals should have the complete set of all relevant manuals and info at the time on PDF files. They are basically the same as the manuals available to us on our E-fiche program. The wiring diagrams are always included but don't be expecting a simple diagram with the BUS systems in use on the KJ.

Post subject:  Source of service manuals

I just ordered the Service Manual for my 2006 KJ. This type of material is available for all recent Chrysler Products from the DC TECH AUTHORITY. Go to jeep.com, select owner services (top right) and the next page will display a menu of available services including owner/service manuals (near center left).

I always try to get the shop manual for any vehicle I own. I you do your own service and repairs, the manual pays for itself quickly (avoid costly mistakes). For jobs that require labor I can't or won't do, the manual gives me the information I need to keep the shop honest.

I moved several years ago and had to find new homes for manuals for a 69 roadrunner, a 76 IH Scout, a Plymouth Voyager, a 95 Dakota, etc. Owners of those vehicles were glad to get the manuals  . LOL
