I have taken my KJ through all kinds of swamp and plowed fileds this past deer season and have yet to become stuck. I created some furrows a John Deere with a bottom plow would have been proud of. I guess I should say the KJ has carried me through all of this but let's forget the word symatics here.

Anyway, sooner or later I am going to need a winch. I have pressed my luck to hard and there are 4 more months of huntning seasons around SC. I have looked but I can't find a front receiver hitch for a 2006 KJ (Renegade if it makes a difference). Has anyone seen one?

Thanks

the 05-06 front bumper has to be trimmed about .75" to the size of the reciever, just under the license plate. thats all the difference there is to installing the 02-04 front hitch. i searched and searched and couldn't find one for the 05-06 kj. Good luck

Yeah I heard the only difference is that the 05 and up need the bumper cover to be trimmed to fit.

I have a hidden hitch (the one in two pieces that bolts together) and the install was fine. If you have the stock tow hooks you can get the single piece because you will need to take the front bumper off to get the tow hook bolt plate out anyways, and then it is relatively easy to bolt it on with the front apart. Pics of my install are on my cardomain if you want to see.

I actually just flipped the holder around 180 degrees and bolted the two holes back on. It sticks up a little, but now I've bolted my Warn winch, electrical quick connect to the upper third hole. It works real well.
