How good are the recall ball joints on the kj. Mine is due and wondering how well they will hold up. I am unlifted but going to be next year forsure just wondering longivity on them unlifted and lifted thanks.

Can't really speak about longivity since I am unlifted and was riding on the origianl versions for the last 3 and a half years... The new joints do look a lot beefier than before and the Jeep for some reason feels better at highway speeds.

I've been on the new LBJ's from the recall for about 3 months now.

I'm starting to get freaked. Changed oil on the libby and the freaking driver side lower ball joint is springing out grease and not from a ripped boot but a on top. Perhaps cracked and leaking all the lube out of the joint like on the recall notice is talking about. It is my only vehicle and daily driver forsure. This is freaking stupid. I just hope the recall can be quick and painless. If not straight to moogs.

Are these the new Joints? If not - head straight for the dealership!

Have local shop install Moogs and then send DC the bill when the recall shows up.

Pain in the rump. I sent an email asking what I needed to do, then I sent them the receipts for the ball joints and labor just like they said.. They call back a few months later requesting the cancelled check and copy of Visa statement too.

But enough of my rant...whichever way you do it, do it quick. If you go with the Moog's they'll last longer and you'll get reimbursed eventually.

Not the new ones that is why I was freaking. Will they pay me back if I get moogs hmm  . That is one option I may have to go because the dealership has the parts on freaking back order.
