Yo yo yo, I need to replace my rear shocks on my lifted KJ. Which Ranchos have some of you been using. The info is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hey guys, just got my 17004 from Carolina Classic Trucks. One is missing the dust boot and they're both missing the upper and lower bushings from the box. I'm assuming the bushings were supposed to come with them ? Can anyone confirm this for me ? I put my call in to them and left a message. So now I wait for their response. Has anyone dealt with CCT before and how good are they in customer service ? I guess my plans for shock removal are out for the weekend now. Another week of the squeeking wont kill me from those Doestch shocks. But they gotta go already... I'm squeeked to death.

Thanks 02liberty, CCT called me back not once but twice. Apparently those shocks I received were'nt supposed to be shipped out. He said rancho is shipping a new set to me and a call tag for fed ex. will be sent out so I can send them back. He scratched his head too on the jeep thing... He also told me the bushings should've been pre-installed and ready out of the box. Their customer service was great and appoligized numerous times. They are trying to make good on it and get them here by fri. hopefully. Anyway cct had the right price so... Glad to hear you like em', can't wait to get them in so the squeek is finally gone... Thanks Joe

The Ranchos RSX 17004 are a great piece of engineering. My Libby handles just great, with an almost stock feel.

Go for 'em.

Well check this out. After my two calls that CCT gave me we got everything straightened out yesterday. I wake up to my door bell ringing at 9am this morning. It's fed ex with the replacement shocks already. Talk about making good on a mix up. Opened the boxes and everything is there. Can wait to get these babies in. Just wanted to say thanks to anyone that helped. CCT has a great price on these right now, get em' while they're hot.

If you have a local 4-Wheel Parts, they'll price match CCT, and you can save on shipping.

Sounds basically unanimous for the Ranchos RSX 17004 for the rear.

Okay...how about the front end? What's best for the front suspension if you add the heavy steel front bumpers like ARB, Trail Ready, and All J?

Well, I would go with Rancho RSX 17505 Replacement Struts, but in addition to that, you will need some heavy duty front springs, since adding an ARB bumper will add up to 80 lbs of weight to your front suspension.

I have read a lot of guys are having problems with this setup though, and many people have gone for installing a front hitch, and forgetting about installing an ARB bumper and/or winch combos.

You will surely get more feedback on this thread.

Good luck!
