I know some guys on here said they have 45*50 surco baskets, but when I go to their site they recommend a 40*60....what size should I get?

I have the 45x60 and used U-bolts to connect it to the stock roof rails.

You are right. They do recommend the 40x60. I got the 50" length so the lights on mine will not over hang. This leaves them recessed on a nice position. The 60" will also work but will cover the whole roof.

The width is a different story. At 40" the cross rails will not cover the factory roof rack. In the front it will miss by about a 1/2". Believe me this is the voice of experience. I had the 40” and send it back for the 45"

Here are some shots of the over hang at 45" wide.

This shot shows how the lights would have hung over the roof if I used the 60"

I find the 45 X 50 more compact and proportional for the Libby. The 45 X 60 will give it a more expedition style rack but you will have to get the optional floor strenghening pieces too. I wouldn't recommend putting more than 100lbs in them without the optional floor.

Shouldn't be too bad on the bank account. You'll like the size you've chosen.

Hey where did you buy it from? Is summit racing the best place?

How come your profile states a yakima rack... did you find it inadequate?

I need one too.

I am extremly unhappy with Summit, they charged me shipping after the fact and charged me $120CAD to ship it. That is completely rediculous.

Ouch, I only paid $7 shipping for mine since it was considered oversized. However, a Summit warehouse is only a state away.
