I would like a 2.5-inch lift with longer springs and struts in the front and springs and shocks in the back. I also will probably be getting new upper control arms. I don't want spacers, at all, anywhere. Does any one make a kit that will last like this? I found a kit by Rustys off road that offers this but I have never read about any one running this lift and it isn't crd specific. |

On the CRD, you are more limited. Most people have very good luck with Daystar spacers but as you say, you want "lift with out spacers." About your only option is to research what OzLtd used HERE with custom springs. There has been talk about making these available in the US but I can not say I am up to date on where that stands right now. |

The CRD is heavier in the front than the gasers, so the front springs of that kit will not support the extra weight of your CRD. I believe Al J's has something in the works for the CRD, check with them on it. |

I installed the RRO Rockfather II on my '06 CRD. It uses OME HD springs front and back, with a small upper strut spacer. The problem is that the OME springs are at about 1" taller for the rear. This combined with the stock 1" or so rake requires some type of compensation in the front. I was a little hesitant at first about using a spacer to gain lift, but I'm OK with it now. I'm actually planning on adding another spacer in the front to level out the stance at some point. The ride and performance is great with my setup after 6k plus miles. |

The new CRD Franken lift does not use spacers anymore. They have worked out a deal with OME and they made a spring with higher spring rate. http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... hp?t=16833 |

The Frankenlift currently on the website uses a Daystar spacer with OME struts on the front - in about 6-8 weeks they will have the OME springs - however if they match all other OME front springs -they will only give about 1 1/2 of front lift - that's why the current gasser Frankenlift - uses a small spacer in front to get the full 2 1/2 inch lift. If you truly want full 2 1/2 inch lift with coils only - then OzLtd's or someone else's custom springs are your only option (I seem to remember some posts about Rockfather II or Rusty's with custom front springs - but not much followup on them) |

http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... hp?t=16833 While the arrival of heavier duty OME springs is great news to CRD owners, I don't think it will change anything as far asspacers go. At least not to achieve 2.5" inches of lift in the front. If you read through the entire post, Heather replies that they will package a preassembled coil/strut assembly, presummably using a spacer as with other Frankenlifts. No doubt though that it is an improvement over what is currently available. |
