Post subject:  Frankenlift question?

Just wondering if adding a clevis lift and some extra isolators to the rear if that would be too much lift for the cv's?Al told me to just add some extra grease to them but wanted to gety some other opinon's of people who might already have that configuration.I want to be able to get 31 /10.5's under it without any rubbing at full lock.

Rear will not be a problem. I'm running two extra spacers with my CRD Frankenlift. The front not so sure I've heard people bicker both sides of the argument. What do you CV's look like now?

They are slightly angled but have no problem with them at all.I was sorta concerned with the rear because I herd that the rear ball joint can breakdown faster with to much rear lift.

What rear ball joint? I don't think you need any more height, you need some spacers (and enough rear isolators to level her out)

There is a ball joint on the tri link or what some call wishbone on top of the rear axle.

i have 31x10.5 on 15x8 wheels

no rubbing at all in the rear, although im going to get a new rear bar so i can push them back into the center of the wheel well again.....did you rustys work well for htat?

but in the front , if you havent already you will need to pound out the pinch weld, and mine rubbed a lot on the front of the wheel well fender lining..... i have so far cut most of it out , but full lock turning the wheel right in reverse still rubs a tad , so i have to cut a bit more....

also i took off the bottom piece of the front valance

but i dont mind ripping up the lining or the bumper because i am going to get an ARB / RL soon

I did the pinch weld and removed the lower air dam and cut the fog light flaps out plus alittle extra. As far as the rear I removed my sway bar when installing the lower arm's for better articulation and it actually rides well without it.I just want alittle bit more clearance

oops i actually meant the rear control arms, not sway bar

anyways.....sounds like it might fit, im not 100% because i only have 15"s , but try it out , why not?

i dont think you need any more lift tho
