What size U Bolts to mount a surco rack on an 02 Sport?

Since I have a Renegade, mine are a little thicker. I just went to home depot and picked up a few different sizes. The thing with the Renegade is you cannot use the U -bolts because of the thickness off the rails. So I went out and bought their mounting kit. I know it's expensive and it doesn't fit the Renny as good as a Sport but I love that mounting kit.

As for your U bolts someone on the board should have a similar setup. They look like they are anywhere from 1.5 inches to 2 inches. Not more.
