The Jeepin Al A-Arms are great. The driver side is a bit difficult to install, but the passenger side is relatively easy. On the driver side, the battery and battery tray have to be removed. Not much room to work. |

ALs A-Arms are on my short list of purchases. I have heard great things about them. |

Do those of you who have installed Al's Arms notch out the upper bump stop? Does this have to be done to prevent the zerk fitting from hitting the bump stop? Thanks |

Thanks I did that with mine. |

Yes, you will want to cut out a little section of your upper front bumpstops to allow the arm to hit without putting all the pressure on the grease-zerk. I haven't done it yet, and have had that contact occur with my front sway bar off. I'll get to it eventually |

Is a front-end alignment necessary after installing the new upper a-arms? |

Yes. You need to get an alignment from a shop you know you can rely on after you alter ANY suspension component. My KJ needed it after the lift, after installing Al's arms, and it will need it again after I install the MOOG LBJs I still have in the garage. Get a life-time alignment next time you buy new tires, it's saved me at least $100 so far. |

Just wondering, why would you get it done again after you put the balljoints in? |

Thanks I did that with mine. How do the bump stops come out and go back in? Is it a difficult task? I just placed my order for a set. Thanks |

I forgot most of what was covered in the instructions I got with the LBJs from Jeepin' Al, but I know at least I'll end up removing the upper and lower arms from the knuckle and hub. If you're doing that I think it's a good idea to get an alignment, especially when you're taking the whole front suspension apart, replacing a specific component with one that might be slightly different, then putting it all back together again. It's not as drastic a change as Al's arms or a lift, but it is something. They had life-time alignments for cheap when I bought my tires, so I got that and haven't hesitated to get an alignment since |
