Ok, so I just about have everything needed for my lift (just waiting on Al's A-Arms to arrive next week) and I'm bored, so I'm looking things over in the basement. I was looking at my Rancho RSX struts and noticed a small amount of what appears to be oil on the sturt where the rod goes into the strut. Is this at all normal, or is it possible I received faulty struts? I cleaned them off a little and will check back in the morning to see if there is any oil present again.

Should I be concerned, or am I worrying for nothing?

Thanks

Well I cleaned them off last night and as of now I see no new oil. Maybe they just had something on them. I'd try to compress them and see what happens, but they are shipped with the rod "in the locked position", as the directions say, and I don't trust myself in touching/breaking anything. I'll have my mechanic look at them before my install next week.
