I've got the vent visors on my Renegade. They do help out your side vision when the sun is lower in the sky. They sort of cut down on wind noise when you have the windows cracked while driving. It's also nice to be able to leave thewindows cracked during a rainstorm - no more wet seats! |

i've got both. the bughshield is hit or miss, sometimes I think it works for the smaller bugs other times I think its astetics only. they kinda make the jeep look groucho marx. the vent visors are nice for sunblock and when it rains they keep your ciggies dry, also helps when its 100 degrees outside and rainy you can crack all the windows and don't have to worry about heat stroke. |

I have Weathertech In-Channel Vent Visors on mine. By far the best company out there for these, but pricey as well. Retail on them is near 100, but I got mine for 50 through a clearance and coupon combination. I think Wyckoff is clearancing them for the Liberty at 70 right now. Bu deflector...couldn't say. I just installed it so I have not noticed anything so far. I got mine free since it was on my build sheet and never provided with the vehicle. It really does not seem terribly functional but if you have the money for it or just want one, it couldn't hurt anything. It has to prevent SOME rock chips and bugs, at least. |

I was having some rock chips so got the bug/stone deflector to cover up the chips and prevent any more. Doesn't do much for bug deflection as we still get em on the windshield. I don't believe the dealer was forced to give you the bug shield, but glad they made you happy. |

I have both. I think the bug shield helps quite a bit as I don't find too much of our state bird on my winshield in the summer. |

Bug sheilds, as everyone has mentioned, don't really do anything to prevent stuff from hitting your windshield. I've had the vent visors before but they only really come in handy when it's raining out and you need to crack the window for fresh air.... Currently neither of these two products are on my Jeep. |

i have the useless front jeep bugshield on a shelf in the garage. despite many adjustments, all it did was creat massive buffeting on the windshield with the sunroof closed and made having the sunroof open or any window cracked unbearable. |

When I bought my Libby it had the stock vent visors. I bought the bugshield & rear spoiler mostly for the looks. I find the vent visors are handy when you want to open the windows a bit during rainy weather. |

Why/how would you remove it when it goes through holes drilled in the hood? Once it's on, it might as well be a permanent accessory. |

I know the bug guard helped alot for me. prior to getting it when it was raining and the water would run down the hood when I slowed down to stop and it would spray up onto the windshield. Not with the bug guard. |

I have both from Jeep. The hood bug guard needs to be screwed into pre-existing holes under the hood (4 screws). I installed it myself and it was very easy. It was a perfect fit expecially it being a Mopar part. The window visors are real good. It's awesome being able to crack your windows for fresh air driving down the highway in a rain or even snow storm and not getting wet. |
