Was wondering if anyone has compressed the springs themselves. I know the cheap two piece compressors such as these don't work too well. One broke on me into my second strut assembly.

I was looking at something like this and then possibly using one of those cheap two piece compressors as a safety backup

Eddo: Thx for the warning. That looks exactly like the one I bought from Harbor Freight Salvage for $9.99. Made in China. It was a PITA to use, but it gave me enuf compression to do my Clevis lift. That red one looks decent, as long as it fits in between those tight strut springs? That's why I'm ordering my lift with the pre-assembled struts. Go for it man, and let us know how it worked.
