I'm currently running a Daystar spacer lift with 1.5" front and 2" rear. I'd like to pick up the front end to make the KJ look more level. (I'm being really picky here!) Would adding OME925 light-duty springs and NS130 struts give me a solid 2" of lift up front with the existing Daystar spacer, or would the front end be higher than the rear? (I hate that look.) Seth from ARB recommended removing the front spacers altogether, but I'm concerned that I'd still end up with only 1" of lift after a while.

I guess I have these options as well:
* Clevis lift
* Pre-lowered springs

Would springs from a pre-lowered 2002 KJ still be full height after 5 years?

I'm asking these questions only in the interest of fine-tuning. I don't have the budget for a complete new suspension. (More/better armor is my top-priority mod.)

T.J.

The light duty springs would NOT give 2in of lift. I received 1.5in of lift with the OME Medium duty front springs. :wink:

Some people get 2" of lift with the OME HD's, but I opted to get the Rustys front springs since I knew I would get 2.5in of lift, and thats what I wanted. :)

See my comments from your original thread in the Midwest section a while back, I still think it's the way to go:

It's the metal spacer in the 2.125" kit listed here:

Any thoughts on installing pre-lowered front springs to get an extra half-inch? If this will give me the best ride, I wouldn't mind ripping out the struts and rebuilding.

Jeepjeepster, OME medium springs will be too tall:
1.5" spring lift + 1.5" spacer = 3". I'd be dragging @ss.

I don't need a full 2" from just the springs. I'm looking to add another half-inch to my front end in addition to my 1.5" under-spring spacers. As far as cost-effectivenes, I guess I'm looking at either (a) pre-lowered springs, or (b) clevis lift.

I like the idea of a clevis lift because I won't need to disassemble the struts. However, wouldn't going with taller springs give a better ride?

A clevis seems like the best solution! :wink:
