Hi guys,

First of all, what a great forum !! Only for KJ ! Almost all forum are talking about all jeep except the KJ.

So my question, I have a KJ 2004 V6 sport (manual) and I would like to buy roof lights. I would like to know if the ligth bar set sold with the Renegade are good or not ? Does that light far or wide (or both ?).

Otherwise, any suggestions ? I have a safari roof rack, so I'm not really limited.

Thanks

Frank

i would say the light is more of a spot light, it shines straight ahead. like if your up against a building, the light will be in one focused spot directly in front of the jeep, inbwteen the headlights light pattern. but when your going down the road it shines decently wide, i love mine. i also have sylvania silverstar ultras and i totally recomend them, they made a HUGE difference :) i got em on sale at advanced auto parts for like 37 a pair instead of 50 a pair

and i heard you can adjust the lights up and down, but not side to side

got mine off ebay as well for pretty cheap. pretty easy to install. They do shine pretty straight ahead, not too much to the sides. When going around turns you have to wait for the front end to point down the trail before it lights up....but when they hit...its like daylight!! Very happy with them

since u have a roof rack I would just buy some nice hella's or KC's and attach them, I personally like the look better, just another option....... something like this

i as well bought mine off ebay and did the install myself. took a few hours to do and, imo, drastically improved the look of the jeep. its well worth doing for both the looks and the light it provides.

Thanks all for your reply... so now i'm confused with which one are looking better :)

And a question, for those who have installed their lights on the roof rack, where did you pass the wire ? A hole in the roof, through the trunk windows or through the bar on the roof?
