I've been reading up on some lockers and the best one is the ARB air locker because your diff will stay open when you want or locked up when the going gets rough. The other one that is a "lunch box" locker is a powertrax no-slip is really common with some of the people on here as well. The powertrax is way cheaper than the arb becaues it doesn't need an air compressor to engage it but the powertrax is always there and can act up in turns in daily driving so I hear. With the powertrax people say it just takes some time to get used to driving on pavment with it. Hope this helps |

The only time I really notice my Powetrax (when not offroad) is if I'm making a tight turn. Like backing out of a parking spot and have to crank it. You get a loud bang once in a while that will freak you out at first. I haven't heard it in a while. To me it's definately outweights not having a locker. |

Selectable lockers are the way to go. Normal road manners, but offroad...well...it's a locker ![]() |

Selectable lockers are the best followed by automatic lockers. Selectables offer 100% locking and the user has complete control over when they're locked. Check out the Locker page of the Jeep Liberty Wikibook for more info on all the different options: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Jeep_Liberty/Lockers |
