So, installing a few skid plates today, i got the nutzerts and the tool it comes with, i'll be damned if i can figure out how to do it. How do you use the nutzert tool to get the nutzert to stay in the hole to put up the skids? I can put a remote starter in an audi but i can't figure this out...go figure. |

Hold the wrench that you see in the pic in a stationary position and tighten the bolt on the bottom to 25-30ft lbs. Be sure not to over tighten them b/c it will ruin the nutzert.

that actually helped, thank you. I wasnt torquing it enough. UNfortuantly, off to lowes i go, the bolts they sent with the gas skid are WAY too big. |

The bolts should be 12mm. Usually the holes are rusted over and need to be cleaned out. Some PB blaster and a wire brush would help. A tap would be awesome.. If the skid is mopar, then the bolts are probably the right size.. |

tried cleaning them, wire brush, the whole nine yards, measured the bolts, i purchased new 12mm bolts, you can definatly see a difference in size, the 12mm ones i purchased went right in after a little push to get them started in the threads. |
