Yup, a Kilby gas tank skid. I am so excited, I had to share. I have been waiting on this baby for a month now. :D

If there are any left?... KILBY When I bought mine, there were only a few remaining and no more to be had in the future. If this changed, I am not aware of it?

Just my 2 cents on this skid, I've got the Rusty cuz I got a very good deal on it and while it's beefy it hangs down alot lower than this Kilby. Kilby looks great and is very strong, one of the best IMO.

I've never hit my Kilby skid very hard, but a guy in a classic Scout hit his tank pretty hard on our last run and he sprung a leak. Fixed it with a screw and electrical tape, but he'll need to replace it soon. Made me very glad to have my Kilby.

I know a guy who smashed his plastic tank in a ford expedition, no leaks but the tank holds 5 gallons less now!

Just FYI. I think All J Products still has one of the KJ Kilby skids.

Not sure if you guys know ...the fuel pump and pick up in mounted in the bottom of the plastic fuel tank of the KJ. There are 2 littl grooves that it slides and then clicks into. I slide over a dirt mound one time and it made the fuel pum and pick up pop out. it was floating around int he gas tank.

The gas gage was going crazy...it would run and then shut off and all kinds of crazy things. I had to open up the panel in the rear...open the gas tank to pop the pump and pick up back in place and then everthing was OK.

After having to find the problem and figure out what it was. remove the panel in the rear whick is a real pain in the butt, and deal with all this...The Kilby skid was very welcome. And it really does tuck way up and out of the way unlike a lot of the other skids. Lovin the skid. later...Clint

Kilby still lists the KJ skid on their website. I got it through a local guy when we bought the TJ skid. Took a while longer to get the KJ skid, but it came right from Kilby.
