I had the 4 strut bolts off and the swaybar off aswell but the thinjust wouldnt drop enough!!?? Do i need to compress the coil to make it work? what am i doing wrong here guys? Its still early so if i get some feed back so i will go give it another shot..

try disconecting the upper ball joint. Take off the nut and use a BFH to break the ball joint loose. This should allow the assembly to drop down enough. Be sure to use a jack under the brake rotor to keep the assembly from hanging .

You do NOT need to compress the springs.

Unhook the sway bar, pop the upper ball joint outta the knuckle, drop it down as far as you can, take the cleavis fork off, take the coil over out, put plate in.. Do reverse.

Not too bad getting the UBJ off. I unbolted mine and it didnt move so I cut a 2x4 to the right length, jacked up under the LCA and stuck the wood under the UCA right next to the UBJ. Then I just dropped the jack quickly while a buddy hit the UBJ with the big hammer. Worked great and neither of us needed to put down our beers....!
