Hey all, finally doing the lift this weekend. Last night after work I got the UBJ out and spring compressors installed with a slight preload. Whats the next step? Should I unbolt the lower clevis bolt then the top strut bolts that are under the battery then take the whole assy out or is it better to get the clevis out alone and then take the spring and shock out. Ill be going out soon to begin again but will check back if I get stuck. Thanks in advance... Josh |

You don't need the strut compressor on while taking the assembly off the KJ. You only need it after you have removed the strut assembly. Remove all from the bottom (clevis) and then from the top (inside engine compartment). You will have a complete assembly in your hands and now you will need the strut compressors to crunch it down and remove the nuts/bolts from the top plate......carefully. Make sure the thing is not pointing at anything important (your body, KJ) as you compress it, remove bolts and then slowly release it. |
