What would cause my left side parking lights to not work? Both bulbs are fine, actually all three. The dual filament ones and the front corner marker all good. Brake light and turn signal fine, just parking lights. Is there a relay or something? I got warned by a cop last night, this sucks! |

check the fuse. the fuse box is located to the left of the steering wheel, where the door and dash panel meet. There is a diagram in your owners manual that tells you which fuse is for which. |

the fuse would just affect the left side? This would mean a fuse for the right? |

never knew there was a right and left fuse, it was the fuse blown. Problem now is, it blew again, so I need to check the trailer wiring and the Hoppy adapter. If I disconnect it and still have the problem this is going to be fun....... Thanks for the reply. |

I guess the CRD's are different than the gassers. |

not sure if this problem is related.... but my interior lights will not come on for any reason.... even the ones on my visors. Also if i turn my Jeep off, the radio will stay on, as well as the wipers if the switch is in the on position. I've checked the fuses, all seems well i think, unless i missed something. Nonetheless this is a real head scratcher.... and ideas? |

Ice man, that is strange, any aftermarket things added to the Jeep? Are you original owner? I would look at all the wires and see if something doesn't look OEM. Sounds like a nightmare. |

If your turn signals work and your brake lights work-- why does anyone care if the parking lights are not on ? Upset his sense of balance of the universe ? |

The cop that pulled up next to me the other night didn't like my parking light out |

Upset his sense of balance of the universe ? The park lights are the lights that come on when you are driving at night. Believe it or not having a rear tail light out is a felony here in Utah. So it does matter. |

If the headlights are on, I'm only calling the small lights in the front the "parking lights." The ones in the rear are the "tail lights" to me. If the headlights are not on, then I agree that together the small lights could be called "parking lights," as in, "I left the parking lights on and my battery ran down." But now -- a felony ? A criminal offense for which you could be sent to prison? For a busted tail light ? Wow ! Tough state. |

If your parked then park lights makes sense. I am just glad it was a fuse. Having a tail light out is ussually just a fix-it ticket but if they really wanted to throw the book at you they could. |

i have had the same thing happen to me, the problem turned out to be with two DIFFERENT manufacturers trailer wiring kits. both unit's electronic module burned up, shorted out the fuse that controlled the left side lights....what a PITA! i had purchased the same type of wiring kit, the 4 pin flat style, and both em burned up! the mopar 4 pin style is around $90, and the 7 pin universal style with an additional adapter is almost $180!! anyway, i didnt mean to go off about trailer wiring, but i saw that u had mentioned it along with the non-working lights, and it just brought back bad memories |
