Ok, I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place (because I don't have a lift on the 'ol Renegade...hahaha - I kill myself). Anyway, I have been tossing the idea around to get a lift kit. I don't want that poly-spacer stuff, I want a real 2.5" suspension lift kit - so I have it boiled down to 2 lift kits. Now I need all your opinions. It is either between the Frankenlift or the Rockfather II. Please let me know of all your opinions and experiences with these two, or if you know of a comparable lift kit for around the same coin please fill me in on the 411. I haven't been around the board in some time, so this topic proabably arises more than most of you would like to deal with it, but I appreciate everyones input. The way I see it, most of you should be experts on the topic by now!! Thanks in advance!!! |

KJTX and I installed an OME lift from All-J Products. It has the HD springs with Ranchos all around. I'm very pleased with it, the ride is great. Between the 2 lifts you asked about, I'd go with the Frankenlift. The Frankenlift uses OME HD coils and Ranchos all around with some spacers on the front for even more lift. Quinn at All-J Products is great, and he knows his Jeeps. |

My KJs have had had a locally made spring lift about 2.5 inches front, 2 inches rear with Rancho shocks. One of the front shocks blew out after 5000 miles so replaced the front with OMEs, which are more readily available here and have a better reputation in the outback. The OMEs haven't been tested too rigorously yet, so I'll wait and see. Lifting with springs requires extended shocks in order to get the same travel as standard suspension, as the downard reach of the shocks limits travel. I am interested to hear how the Rancho front shocks last. I may have got a dud. |

me i would go for the rocky raod lift because i have had mine now since may and done plenty of flexing and off roading and has been great. i also bought my power trax no slip from them to beacuse they price match. another good thing about them is that everything they sell they have on there own jk's. i bought my lift and had it next-dayed "lol i could not wait" when i went to put it on i had some trouble getting the front forks back in and i called them and the guy stayed on the phone with me till both sides where on. |

The Frankenlift has A LOT more testing than the Rock Father. There are a ton of guys that have really put the Frankenlift through its paces and it works flawlessly. That's not to say the Rock Father wouldn't be a good choice, but the Frankenlift is more a sure bet. I've run three different lifts on my rig...a 2" spacer, Skyjacker coil, and the Frankenlift. The Frankenlift beats them all. |

WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT GET THE ROCKY ROAD OTT LIFT I installed this lift on my KJ and it DESTROYED my front struts. It made my tires wear like crap and created all kinda of noises up front, on and off road. On top of that, when I contacted them about it, they completely blew me off. The owner, Glenn Wakefield is a royal stupid and wouldn't even listen to me. Go with the Frankenlift for sure. At least I know the guys at All J's are cool... |

I have the Frankenlift. I have offroaded it on some tough trails. See recent pictures below under KJ West (John Bull pictures) It is also my daily driver. I have had this lift on about a year and it has been trouble free. I highly recommend it. |

Maybe you would be just as happy saving a couple of hundred bucks by going with a Rusty's 2.5" kit. I replaced my 2"spacer lift with this setup and have been very pleased with it, both on and off-road. |

1st there was the Frankenlift......then there were the imitators. If you want maximum droop you can't beat the Frankenlift it' been tested and tested.....and tested on some of the most difficult KJ terrain and there hasn't been any problems that I've heard of so far. All J's service is excellent, and they're great guys to boot !

Between the two lifts I think the Frankenlift is MUCH BETTER! I don't personally have one, but many people I know love it. MOst people on this forum seem to have and adore it! I personally LOVE my Skyjacker Platinum Coil over but thats just me

at the moment due to the extra weight of the crd kj a spacer kit is the way to go, REVTEK or Daystar by all reports are trouble free with longer rear shocks |
