I am considering what locker to get and I was wondering where others had placed their compressor and what was involved in putting it there.

From posts I've read it is possible to mount:
1. On the firewall, drivers side (Superflow MV-50) between brake booster and throttle body
2. In the gap where stock airbox is (if you already have an aftermarket intake of some kind)
3. Passenger firewall corner after relocating a few components
4. Under the passenger seat in the cabin (clean air for it, but noisy upon use)

Again, this is all secondhand knowledge... so anyone that actually has one, please chime in!
Hope this helps anyway.

Well, mine isn't an ARB, but on the '04 models there is a good spot on the passenger side inner fender. Here is my Viair compressor setup.

Doesn't have to be too hard. Here's where I put mine.

Mine is underneath the driver's seat. Several advantages:

1) Clean and dry air
2) Strong mount points
3) No drilling into the body pan
4) Easy, existing holes to run everything out of.

The noise doesn't bother me as the compressor will only be on for a minute and then kicks on occasionally if left on.

On the otherhand, I am told that from the outside it sounds like someone is "baking brownies" (http://www.spscriptorium.com/SPBios/SPlexicon.htm) when the pump activates.
