will a JK fuell filler ring; the little chrome or black ring that takes place of the gas door; work on a liberty? If so where would I go to get thte part. All I can find are the doors and not the ring. If someone could help me out that would be very much appreciated.

well i rolled out to the bearest stealership today and measured tank openings. From what i found all jeep and most dodge vehicles use the same size and depth opening. So I would think that it would match up pretty easy.

I think Al did this to his KJ, don't recall the parts' make/model. Might of been off a Dodge.

i dont think it would fit quite flush bc the wrangler has perfectly vertical sides, and the liberty does not.

I think Al's hood scoop and filler came of a Mustang didn't they?

Yup...I think it was a Mustang. I think he had to do a bit of trimming to get it to fit.

The scoop was from a mustang, the filler door was for a TJ. He said it didn't fit exactly right, a little small and stuck out 1/4 inch. He also warned that if you went that way you better like it cause you had to drill holes in the body to mount it.

Last suggestion was to check out full size Dodge truck filler doors to see if they were the right size, as far as I know know one has found one that fits exactly or without drilling.

I'd like to find a true locking cover with a black anodized finish. There are so many Liberties out there, Not sure why no one has made one yet.

well so far it sounds like it owuld be pretty easy to do the mod just a bit of time with a test fit a dermel and thats about it. I checked the size of a ram opening and its about an inch to big so i dont think im going to go that way because id rather cut on the new ring instead of the panel itself. An im still looking for a place where i can get the stock fuel ring for an 07 jk.
