I've heard that they will but, I don't know how you'd go about getting reimbursed.

Check this link to contact Jeep & DC.

http://www-5.jeep.com/wccsapp/universal/J/index.jsp?appStr=wccs&titleStr=Contact+Jeep&familyStr=brand&franchise=J&actionURL=%2Fwccs%2Fbrand_forms%2Fus%2Fwebform.jsp&promotion=null&category=U

Ask them if you can use a non dealer service facility and then request re-payment.

Or ask them where to ask the question.

Get a build sheet while you are at it.

I never did get money for my Moogs. I heard that they would only pay you back if you replaced them with Mopar parts before they had the recall. I feel better knowing Im riding on Moogs and not mopars junk anyway.

So did those who got reimbursed intall them before the recall? I am guessing that it might be more difficult to get reimbursement for third party parts and install if the work was performed after your recall was sent out.

I got reimbursed from DC for my Moogs that were put in by a local shop. I had the work done AFTER my KJ was listed for the recall online, but BEFORE I received my recall in the mail. Once I got the notice in the mail I sent my bill to the address provided and got a check back in about a month or so. Don't recall the exact time it took. DC did call me and the shop to ask what I paid and if the work was done.

Now why didnt I get any money back!?!

I put mine in the summer before the recall so it was before it came out for sure. I sent mailed everything to them with the little letter they sent me about getting reimbursed. I sent the receipt from Al and even typed up a letter telling them what was going on!!!!!

Just out of curiosity...
Don't mean to hijack the thread 8)...
But what are the symptoms (if any) that typically precede lbj failure?

I belive there was a thread earlier about how to check your Ball Joints. It included a video. Essentially watch that video and you get the idea.

Long ago when I had a lower ball joint break in another (american) vehicle, my buddy following me said it looked like the wheel wobbled right off when I went around the corner.
