man .. s many projects ... so little time

Before I could even think abuot starting, I had to

1) clean out and move my office into my sons bedroom .. we have a little one due Sept. 8th .. and my son off to college the weekend before ...

2) get the fireplace tiled ( I have a friend on that ... hopefully he can be done by the end of next weekend.

3) make my S10 more secure ... I have shaved doors and the remote door popping wasn't working ... I rewired it this weekend to make it look cleaner and in the process of removeing and reinstalling both Solenoids .. discovered the passenger one was not working...

4) Trips for work .. about every other week I fly down to GA for work ... really cuts into my project time

well enough of the excuses .. I was able to start the demo work today and this is as far as I got ... ( doing a writeup at the same time ... if anyone has additions and additional pics .. send em to me @ t i m o t h y j l(a t) h o t m a i l . c o m .... I'll to incorporate em into the install.

Go to the vendors section and look at the very first thread. It is about the Detours winch mount mod.

The install looks well outlined...

Of course I can't comment on the install - ours was the test KJ and beta version 1.0 8)

I believe on the gassers they call it part of the towing cooling package.

Any idea what the total time involved is going to be, yet? Wondering if a couple buddies and I could do it in a weekend or not?

I don't see why not ... I've probably only spent 3 hours or so total on it ...

note I travel most every other week and I probably have 4-5 other projects going on too ...

heck ... I didn't even jack up the libby for this ... and all I have left to do is cut away the bumper and install it back on
* note its not the same as the template you would get ... I'm gonna see if I can make a reliable template for 05 and 06

unless they changed something, the earlier KJ gassers had an electric puller in the fan shroud between the rad and the clutch fan as part of the Heavy duty or towing packages.
