Just a question to see if any of you have heard anything. In August of 2006 less then 30 days after buying my used 2002 Sport 4X4 3.7L w/ automatic my local repair guy whos 5 Star certfied and has always taken care of me checked out my purchase. He rebuilt the rear Dif under warranty and took it to another dealership then the one I had purchased from and had the LBJ's replaced per the recall. Then last month another dealership called my number and said they wanted to do a LBJ recall on my Liberty. My Mechanic said "Don't say a word just take it in and see what they do but be aware it may be a fishing exibition. So I took it in they did the replacement and warned of a couple minor leaks that when I returned to my Mech, Said don't worry about it get new tires as needed and get an alignment. About 2 weeks later I got L.O.S.T. for the first time. I've followed a earlier link trying to get the build report on my Libby. Now just 3 days ago I received another Recall letter from DC. RECALL notification code F23. Either the right hand doesn't know what the Left hand is doing. Or another fishing trip or the still havn't gotten the recall repair right. Any Ideas ?? Am I being messed with?? Or do I just go to another area dealership with Recall letter in hand and say do the LBJ's as this letter states?? Do I just milk the system until DC get their Stuff (you can exchange the words if you like) together?? All suggestions Welcome. LEAD |

I'm not sure why you'd waste your time getting your LBJs replaced again... (assuming they did replace them when you took it in the first time) |

I had my recall done soon after it was announced, before I got a letter. Then I finally got my notice in the mail the week after my wife rolled it over. I say just check them yourself. If they are the new blue ones and they attached the "heat shields", don't bother with trying to get them done again. Just keep the letter filed away with all you vehicle maintenence records right next to your receipt saying the recall was performed. |
