Which ones are you looking at? Some companies only sell chrome, others only sell black, some sell both.... |

Besides, it's stainless, won't hold regular paint. Maybe an epoxy paint, but VERY expensive and begs the question WHY? Other bull bars out there already black and probrably better than anything the OEM could be. |

I bought one of those when I got my KJ. Its a big lump of steaming you-know-what.... Terrible welds, connects in a flimsy way, and will actually cause MORE damage to your truck in a accident if you rear end somebody... (it basically will fold back on to your hood like it is on a hinge) I would look for someting different. If you like that style of bull bar, go with a Tal and Haddas. Way better stronger design, and they have driving light mounts.... |

One last thing to consider..... The air bag systems won't work right once you add a bush bar.... Unless you get one specifically designed to work.... ARB, I think Rock Lizard too.... |

I just checked and the cheapest place I found for the Tal and Haddas is here: http://www.autoseattle.com/tal_and_hadas.htm $312.95 & free shipping. How does it screw up the airbags? weight or something? |
