Glad to hear it is going well. I'll be around the phone for a couple more hours so give me a call if you have questions. How are those instructions working out for you? If anyone who has or is installing a rear bumper, please let me know if there is anything I need to change or add to make them easier to understand.

That's what Marty wrote in the instructions.

Step 1. "Buy a case of your favorite beer."
Step 2. "Chill said beer to 35 degrees."
Step 3. "Grab all tools."
Step 4. "Take a drink."... 8)

got it done... fits and looks PERFECT!!! Marty and his crew are amazing at what they do!

there ya guys go... it took me a little while to make sure the flares were cut right, i messed up the left one, but nothing a little sanding won't fix, and the cutting of the pinch welds was easy for the rear to slide in. enjoy and envy haha~

Anybody do any significant towing with the RL rear bumper reciever? Just wondering if its been road tested and if it will handle 5000 lbs

That's a lot of weight. I know several guys have pulled their 2000 some odd pound campers with it, including Ted (USAFCOP). After the trip to Moab, I pulled his rear bumper off after all the hard towing through the mountains, and didn't see any signs of stress. I would be real hesitant with 5000lbs though. That is why it is designed to work with the factory hitch. Not hard to throw that back on under the bumper, and take it back off when done.

Can you adjust it so that the bumper lines up with the body lines? In the 2nd and 3rd pic, you can see that the bumper is sagging down.

Also, is there a block that will fill the space on each side where the tire swing and such goes?

Ok, so casual towing, launching the boat, winching myself off the ledge are all OK, but don't hook up the big honking Airstream for a cross country trip. I suppose its just a half dozen bolts to remove, and the skid is bolted under the hitch.

Right. It's unibody, skid, bumper, hitch in order.
