Has anyone had any issues with driveline vibrations after lifting a KJ?

None here.

1. Check for loose connections
2. POssibly an alignment issue. You should wait about 2 weeks for the lift to settle before doing an alignment. This is a must do. I waited about 2 months and National KJ Moab trip before getting my alignment and my front tires were heavily worn on the outside of the tires.

Also check to make sure you tightened your wheels evenly.

The KJ does not have vibration issues like others in the Jeep family. The real limiting factor is the CV joints up front. Up to 2.5-3" you'll be fine. Lift away...

No bad vibes here just a taller, better ride.

Post subject:  Bad Vibrations!

I have a vibration from 45 to 50 mph with my 6 inch lift in the rear. (I call it my 6 inch lift, since I measured a bone stock KJ from the ground to the center of the rear fender flare-32.5", mine 38.5") The drive shaft may not be balanced, and the Liberty is supplied with a balancer on the output shaft on the transfer case and a damper on the rear diff (loving known as the landing gear). With the unibody construction, you will feel and hear every little aby-normal thing associated with the KJ.

With a Rusty's or any other 2.5 to 3 inch lifts the only real noise you will get is the CV joints complaining, the bang of the a-arm hitting the spring at full droop (only on certain lifts), and possible sweek from the new hard plastic front shock boots rubbing the front strut. There should not be any vibration, at least none reported for the last couple of years, from any of the lifts on the market.

None here as well. Frankenlift really improved the ride.

None here. The vibe is typical a result of the sharp angle the drive shape makes. Since the KJ has a longer wheel base than a typical TJ, hence the driveshaft is longer and therefore has less of an angle. Lift the KJ more, like Jeeping Al to 5-6inches and it will probably vibe. Then you either need a t-case drop or a CV driveshaft.

sheesh, I need to lift my KJ then, because I have a slight deceleration vibe at highway speeds on my entirely stock 2005 Renegade.
