I understand the clevis lift using conduit washers, but my question(s) is this:

The spring isolators for the rear, do they go above or below the spring? How do they attach with a factory set already in place? Do I have to go to a dealer to buy them (I haven't had much luck Googling for them)? How much do they cost?

Ive been told $12 a piece (isolators) from a dealership...dont know where they go best, above or below. Some one nearly talked me out of it on a recent post, point was pre-compressing the springs is a bad idea for several reasons...I agree, but I would like 2.5'' and the "new'' frankenlift sitting in my living room is ~2'' so I have a dilema....

I will surely add a few washers regardless, I am determined to eliminate the front to back rake.

Most use the pads above the spring altough I have installed the lower ones also
I think what Johnboy was talking about was compressing the front springs so not to mix you up!

OK I can see where he is coming from ...to a point, but he is also wrong in some of the thoughts. So you can add one or even two isolaters in the rear and with the front since you have a Frankenlift you should be fine. If you have more questions PM me. Have done my OME lift, and two rustys with conduit nuts on both of them and isolaters one the rear of one.

neither the rear spring pads nor the clevis conduit washers 'precompress' the spring - they change where the spring is sitting. the only way to 'precompress' is to add a spacer inside the front strut. you would have a fixed top, a fixed bottom and you have to compress the spring to bolt the top on - i.e. you precompress it prior to installing it. You can't really precompress the back.
