Posts on here sugest that the weight is a factor, but a simple clevis lift will counteract the bull bar weight. Or so i understand. Obviously there will be more weight up front. do a search and see how people delt with it. I am planning the same thing. actually hoping it causes me to lift it so I can say OOPS sorry dear i guess i neec to do this now...

Not a factor at all UNLESS; you have already squeezed as big of tire in
there as you can AND you put a heavy MF winch in there...... Image

With my OME Heavy Duty Springs I have not noticed a drop at all with the ARB but since you need to know about stock then yes you will notice some droop.

WHY you ask :? well stock springs are rated at or below 300 lb, Rustys are only 310 lb, but the springs that ARB (OME) have (recommends) for the ARB is rated at 400 lbs. Can you run it on there, sure, but just know that sooner or later you will need to update your front suspension due to sagging and extra wear on the struts/springs.

we did the bumper before the lift on our kj. It was fine, but get it aligned afterwards, we messed up our front tires driving to California and back without doing so.

i weighed the arb when i got mine in the mail, it was 98lbs on a digital scale.
the bumper will eventually sag on stock springs, and will sag on rustys front springs as well.

ome hd's are the way to go if you plan on installing one of these kangaroo catchers.

True enough.

But he doesn't need to upgrade FIRST. He can upgrade LATER.

That was the original question, then this thread took
off in a different direction..... Image

whatever ..............when someone asks a question I think they deserve a good overall view of what he wants to do, will it work SURE GO FOR IT, will it give you problems down the road YES!!!!!!!!!! I will NEVER answer some one with just a yes I want them to know yes they can do it but here is what you are in for in the future! That way they will not come back and say well everyone on LOST said it would work and now my front is sitting lower and the struts are shot!
TOM SAID THAT!!!!!!

not sure how long the stock suspension would last with a 100lb weight hanging off the nose.

you can upgrade the bumper. the suspension would have to be the very next thing in line.

i only ran the arb with rustys springs for a few months before i had to get hd springs to hold that thing up. started to get rubbing in places i havent rubbed before

On another ARB bar related issue.
Can you run 32" muddies with 2.5" and pinch weld pound mod with the ARB bar?

Awesome!
Cheers for that.

Was worried it wouldn't clear the back of the ARB bar.
