Anyone else have any recent purchase history on an '03 KJ? I did just buy my 03 sport 84,000 KMs. The lot had it listed as $19,995 CAN, but I knew the previous owner and the salesman so I was able to get it for $15,300 CAD out the door. They seem to sell for around 18-19K CAD here in my neck of the woods. Although the insurance value seems to be around 12K Neil |

I got mine for around $18,000 two years age. It only had 26,000 miles. I have seen them for anywhere between $14,000 and $16,000 around here recently. |

Last year I bought a '02 Sport 4x4 with a lot of bells and whistles 89,000 for $15,000. I thought it was a little high but I needed wheels then and there. I don't know if this is a good comparison or not. Good Luck |

We had been trying to sell ours for a month. Started off at 16k, went as low as 14k. Not a single person showed any interest. It's tough to sell a Liberty right now. I can't believe nobody wants this jeep.

for a bit of comparison i bought a NEW 2007 liberty sport 2x4 with a manual transmission, power windows, locks, remote entry for $14,700. The 4500 rebate for liberties are driving down the price for used vehicles since you can buy brand new at such a low price. |

Tom I know you have shall we say a strong distaste for any Rice Burner going down the road. I in fact wanted a Rav4 but thought they only came as 4 bangers. So I got the Jeep for the V-6, I feel much better for my purchase after finding L.O.S.T.. Finding out the competion are all built on car frames. But back to the Toyota , open your mind grass hopper the fit and finish is quite superior to most American rides they retain their value better, get great milage. Having owned 2 different Toyota Vehicles I can state from experiance "You Can't Kill Them". I put both threw He!! and they kept chugging along and were really fun to drive. If you wife isn't going off roading, it is truly a great little ride. Additonally remember the old saying "If MAMA's NOT HAPPY NOBODIES HAPPY" |

![]() OHHHHHHHH! darn! If only you were around about 3 months ago. 14K with the options you've put in there would have been worth the trip down to the US and paying duties on the way back. Mine is plain stock and I would have loved a locker Neil |

I just paid $14k for my 2004 KJ Sport 4x4 with only 18k miles on it, but most dealerships were asking around $1500 more than what I paid. In my opinion, for a 2003 KJ Limited with 50k I would say you're looking at about $13k-$14k, depending on where you're located. |

I paid 10,500 I think for my 02 Sport with 50,228 on the clock in Oct '05. I need to pick up something cheap that gets a hair better gas mileage so I can start going nuts on this mofo. |

its all about where you live. In B.C Canada, they want 20 grand for an 03 limited. Hell they wanted $24,000 for my 04 renegade. I got them down to $17,300 after 6 hours of battling lol. |

The '07 models do seem to be pushing the used car prices down. The reason for my asking for a price has to do with the '03 I currently own. It has a Rusty's 2.5", '03 Rubicon machined face Moab rims, Goodyear MTR 265's, Custom hybrid ARB front bumper designed and fabbed by me....with Warn 9500 sitting up top....and Warn dual beam fog lights. I also have full Rusty's skids that I never installed. This really is a nice KJ, but I'm wondering if I shouldn't put it back stock, and sell the parts.... I would rather sell it as is...offroad ready. But, unless you are a jeepnut like me.....and most of us here!...no one will care about the value of the add ons. What would you do if you were me???? I'm gonna' try to get some pics posted so you can at least see the Jeep. May be a couple of days, but I'll get them up here. Only reason I'm selling is for another Jeep with more room. I have 2 little girls, and need some more hauling room in back. I love the lines of the KJ and wish it were a little larger. I'll miss it, but I won't be too far away from it's roots!! Any advice will be greatly appreciated, and certainly considered. Thanks for your input! Jeff |

you cant fit 2 little girls in the back seat? i fit my 5'11 190lb dad in the back seat of mine and he said it was comfortable. I would try selling it as is first, if you get no bites, then put it back to stock |

Go sit in the back of a 2-door Wrangler, a Commander, or a Grand Cherokee, and you'll have a whole new appreciation for the rear seat comfort of the KJ. My dad, my brother, and I road-tripped from Kansas City to Salt Lake in my KJ, and sitting in the back wasn't a dreadful experience or anything. I'm 6'4" and my brother is 6'2" and we were very comfortable back there. Anyways... I got my '03 KJ back in March 2005 for $16,900. It only had 10,000 miles on it and was in nearly perfect condition. If I were buying an '03 right now I wouldn't pay more than $13,000 for it. If you look on cars.com there are KJs going for as little as $7,000. Unfortunately, Jeeps don't have very good resale values. |

I paid 9k for mine... had 108k on the clock.. Edit: Even Jeepers won't care about the value of the addons. You will never get out of add ons what you put into it. |

Is this one overpriced? I got a killer KILLER deal on mine (because the guy that traded it in on a Commander's butt hurt after they were done with him) http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/car/436098141.html Aside from the fact that mine came with a tape deck (it's got an aftermarket deck in it now, and I've got that same tape/cd player for when/if I decide to trade it in) mine looks to be slightly better equipped (i.e. foglights) If what they're asking is reasonable I may decide to go trade mine in on a KK since I don't owe near that |
