Post subject:  Glad i have 4WD

The other day i was on my wave runner and met a friend out at the beach. Wave runner stoped working and it was 200 bucks to have it towed. so i decided to have my friend drive me back to my jeep at the boat ramp and brought the jeep out on the sand and loaded the jetski right there. I have a rear LSD and the tires started to dig a little. Right then i put it in 4LO and no trouble what so ever. My jet ski and trailer weigh around 1100 lbs. and the trailer has really small tires so that was a good test on the soft sand. And i saved 200 bucks on having the ski towed.

Me i just like the looks i get when i climb over the median to get out of the local McDonalds parking lot because the drive thru line has me blocked in. Its one of those unusually high curbs that 2wds cant get over. So does the get me the urban rated badge?

Isn't it funny that when we get 4wd, we park where others won't park (on snow mounds plowed into the corner of a parking lot). Climb over things we wouldn't dare climb over in the Minivan (curbs and medians) and go faster in bad weather. Why? Just because we can. 8) It also comes in handy when the interstate becomes a parking lot because of a wreck and a cop allows you to climb the embankment to exit but stops that Forester behind you from doing the same thing.. Sometimes.. it's whats in a name.. JEEP! Tread lightly folks and whatout for those shopping carts. They WILL scratch that plastic bumper and @ 400.00 plus, it's not cheap. :x

You know those cones that occasionally get knocked out of line and end up in the center of a lane and then everyone ends up backing up traffic by having to go around them? My g/f always gets annoyed with me because I aim for them so they get stuck under the center and dragged. I tell her I'm doing my civic duty by clearing the lane! 8) I once dragged one for over a mile!
I figure after seeing what my stock Libby could do at Paragon, what's a soft, squishy rubber cone gonna do? (Truth be told, I used to whack them in my Camaro all the time but then they didn't go under!)
