I try to remove and clean the undercarriage in the spring. No need to torque them, I put some anti-seize on them. |

My shoulder was a bit sore from putting mine on. trying to hold it and screw it in at the same time is a bit uncomfortable. |

I would use a floor jack, especially if you have Superskid. I just put mine back on yesterday, again. Been off and on three times now since august. I would not recommend an impact, well at least not for putting them back on. The frame and crossmembers have nutzerts in them, and if you strip one of those out, then your S.O.L. Or then just do like I and others have, drill the nutzert out and run carriage bolts up through the crossmembers. (saves the bolt head from getting sheared off on a rock) hope that helps. mike |

I just zip them in and use a socket wrench to tighten them... |

The torque values are pretty light for the skids, 45 ftlbs on the front and 25-30 for the transfercase skid. Go easy or you'll strip out the nut zerts. |

I ended up getting some3/8 grade 8 bolts to hold the transfer skid on. Not sure what the grade on the carriage bolts. Figure if it's strong enough to hold jungle gym equipment together... Chetos, cool, that would work too using a cordless. |

took off all the skids, used the stock scissor jack to bring them down. strongly suggest doing so, as they are a bit heavy and a bit weighted on certain sides. they are in perfect condition. i was expecting there to be a ton of mud and rocks and stuff, but there was nothing. not even a scratch! |

That's ok, we won't hold it against you. Now go on out and try it again..... |
