 Post subject: 04 overflow bottle question

The cooling system wont pressurize on my 04,,Theres a tube(part of the bottle) that point to the firewall next to the driverside mounting bolt,when i blow in the cap the air goes out the hole,,,can you take a look at yours and see if its the same

Ya see the nipple just north of the hose clamp on top,,,does that have a hole in it into the bottle

The coolant bottle on the KJ has 2 parts,one holds the coolant,the other is the overflow bottle.When the coolant gets hot it goes threw the hose on the cap neck to the overflow part,when the overflow part gets full it goes out a nipple on the back of the overflow portion of the tank.So yes if you have the cap off and blow into the tank air will get out,try a new radiator cap that should fix it,or have the system pressure tested for a cracked coolant tank or radiator.
