Post subject:  Cheapest place to buy front driveshaft assembly?

Hey everyone,

Well, I troubleshot the vibration/thunking in the front end to the front driveshaft assembly.

IIRC, the dealership wants something like $500 for it, and I thought I saw a site that had it for right around $400. Local shop wanted close to $400 just to replace the cv joints at each end with u-joints. I also plan on checking out rockforddriveline.com to see what they have to offer also.

Just curious what the best price everyone has found for the mopar front driveshaft assembly.

TIA!!!

Wow, I just did this on my KJ because one of the boots got torn and I got some liquid sandpaper in there (water, mud, sand - mix it together and let 'er rip :P ). Anyway, I checked online and the cheapest I found new was around $350 (like you've seen above), then I found one at a local recycler for $90 plus tax. Checked it against mine to make sure it was the correct type and made sure all the seals/boots were good, put it in the Jeep and it's doing fine.
