Where is the best place to get Rancho shocks for the rear of lifted KJ?

4wheelparts.com

they have by far the cheapest price along with free shipping.
when i purchased mine, i gave an additional $5 for lifetime warranty for both shocks.
just send them back for replacement if anything happens.

believe it was $51.00/ea

AllJs so you get the correct "spacers" so they don't rattle.

the rancho's dont rattle on the kj from what ive read.
they dont rattle on mine.

there are tons of lower priced places to get these than all j.
dont be pressured...

Where is the pressure? I see Wally just offering another suggestion. Question asked was where the best place to get the shocks from. I assume he was asking for the cheapest place, but for a few dollars more, I'd give my business to a company that actually supports the KJ community. In addition they also sponser this board and that money has got to come from somewhere. just another suggestion. mike

im also a supporter of all j's. i wear their t shirt out in public every weekend, and have bought items from them as well as arb.

i have actually talked to those guys before

i, as well, was offering a suggestion.

seems as though the people on this board are looking for a good deal as well as to support the kj community and the businesses that do as well.

as far as the " pressure " comment, i was just jokin'. if you put your cursor over the sunglass clad smiley, you can see it says cool...

Seems like you already gave your suggestion...and don't use the 8) as a smilie to hide behind. You stated something about "pressured" in black and white...a smilie does not change the meaning. From experience, many have had problems with the top mount on the rear shocks rattling because the insert was not the correct size or no insert at all. ALLJs has the correct bushing which they made included with the rear Ranchos. This way you don't have to over tighten the top to stop the play...I think they are $65.00 each. Just a suggestion with no pressure

im so sorry for hiding behind a sunglass clad smiley.

would you ever be able to forgive me ?
IM SO SORRY DARBY ! i'm learning to correct my ways as i sit hear typing my apology.

i look to you for guidance, and you have delivered, i have taken it to heart.

from here on out, i wont hide any longer.
its the straight and narrow for me on the board.

i did have a better reply, but i edited it out. it sounded like i was hiding. 8)

Do you feel better now?...you really sound very sincere. Like you said from what you read, you didn't hear of any problems with rear shocks. My post was there to point out that there were problems in the past with incorrect bushing sizes. Funny you didn't have a problem with buying from Summit Racing? Why did you even bother to make a comment like that after you had already posted your suggestion? Oh, and I wouldn't take any advice from me if I were you...I don't know much at all about cars...especially Jeep cars...

Darby , just to keep it straight I am the one who suggested Summit Racing and thats where I got my rears from, only part of my lift not purchased directly from AllJs.

The original poster asked for the best places to buy rear Rancho Shocks. Everyone has a different criteria when it comes to "best"...no big deal.

Summit Racing was suggested...then 4WheelParts...then AllJs...then nothing else to help the original poster...

Thanks so much guys! The reason I want new shocks is because of exactly the reason of them being loose all the time. kinda getting tired of getting out old wrench and tightening the suckers at work during lunch. Its getting cold outside to do that!!! :D

just a thought, but why not get the 132L long rears by OME from All J's?
rumor has it that they're better than the ranchos.....

I darn should have thats for sure! But no i didn't.

I thought about OME longs in the back, wouldn't I have to buy the extra bumpstops to go with them also? Im sure they are not that expensive.

Post subject:

The OME "longs" as you are calling them are currently back ordered from what I have read and are 84.99 each, they may be in by now so need to check with Heather at AllJs and yes you need to extend your bumpstops, actually anytime you raise a vehicle you should do that, if raising two inches need bumpstops that are two inches longer, general rule of thumb

if i'm not mistaken, the 132L's are the same length as the Rancho's for a lifted KJ, which are actually the repacements for a standard Durango.
If thats the case, you'd need the bumpstops with either, no?
